Ladies' nights out and Mom's nights out are essential in our book! The event committee for our 1st Annual Gainesville Mom Prom was excited to bring all the details for this first event to life. From our event venue, the ball room at the Senior Recreation Center; catering and drinks by Dos Mamas; entertainment by AJ Entertainment and photobooth by Selfie Florida- we wanted our attendees to have a great time!

The night benefited the work the Alachua County Perinatal Mental Health Coalition (ACPMHC) does in our community to address depression, anxiety and related illnesses around the time of pregnancy and after delivery through provider education, free support groups and the A.B.C. All Bottoms Covered Diaper Bank initiative. We heard personal stories of experiencing and overcoming postpartum depression, anxiety and OCD. Each unique and evidence of how prevalent these illnesses are (1 in 5 women will experience this!). The stories highlighted that you are not alone, getting the right help is important and stigma/shame/fear have NO PLACE here. Mental health IS health; Mamas take care of your health!
We were so excited to crown our first ever Gainesville Mom Prom Queen! The Queen's basket was sponsored by Jenny Highlander, Pepine Realty and contained goodies valued at over $300!
The ladies also got to shop items generously donated from local businesses and organizations throughout our community.
There was no lack of dancing the night away! These women know how to cut a rug!
